Unprepared and sketchy

Went to a party last night and the consultant was charming and funny. When it came to buying the merchandise she said "oh my app isn't working on my phone and I will just write down your credit card information" I felt reluctant but gave it to her anyway.

I gave her my American Express card and she wrote down my info. Then she said, "oh well, I'm not sure if we take this, I'll call tomorrow and ask you for another card". For someone who claims to have twenty parties a week, doesn't know what cards she accepts. I paid with another card and left with my items.

I felt weird because I have never met this lady before and she has all of cc info. After a few minutes I approached her and asked to return all of my items because I felt uncomfortable that she had all of my info on a piece of paper. She made a huge scene in front of people I work with. Then she was reluctant to give me my info back.

She said that she would make it out and throw it away. When I looked at the paper she marked out, you could clearly read ever number. I told her she wouldn't be needing it. Then she continued to make a scene and I apologized but left feeling awful and embarrassed.

I have never been to a party where I felt so guilty trusting my gut or speaking up for when I feel uncomfortable. This organization is supposed to be about making women feel comfortable and empowered.

Please be careful about having a party with Amy Baldwin of Virginia. Just her business aspect is unprofessional and she is deemed untrustworthy.

I'm sorry about your experience with her I'm From Illinois and ive done adult parties for 14 years and now do my own parties for playtime parties and with any info from a cc I don't throw the cc numbers on paper away I shred them in a shredder. If ever u feel that uncomfortable you should never back down or feel uncomfortable about getting your info of a cc returned Do what your gut tells you and don't feel bad at all.

It's not always the consultants....

Slumber Parties is now PureRomance. As a PR consultant, I can only begin to tell you how horrible I have had customers treat me. I love my job and do everything I can to make my Cusomters hppay, if only they had the same attitiude as you do that you wanted the party and were wiling to pay for porducts because often I am expected to give products to Hostesses for free. Or treated as though I need to jump thru every hoop possible expending my time and money to pick up payments or deliver products only to be stood up. Yesterday I was supposed to meet with a rude young man who was physically abusive when i told him our policies prohibit men form attending parties. I let him order anyways, holding the rest of the orders for a week until finally i told him look i have other orders waiting and i need to place my order if you want to order you need to pay me. and wala he wasnt so busy after all it turns out. I waited an hour for him to show up, finally an hour and a half later he tells me he was busy at work and that i was rude. I told him why did he make the apt at 5 knowing he worked til 6? and that i worked too but still kept my appointments. That was rude....how is waiting an hour rude? how is holding the order a week so he can order and his sister meet her minimum so she can get her freebies rude? In addition i told him i could meet him before work after work or during my lunch, he told me after work i asked at what time he said after work i said well i live 20 minutes out of town so instead of going home just to come back can you tell me what time so i can arrange the babysitter to work late? finally he said 6 was the ONLY time he'd be free, then calls me during my lunch to say i can drop off his items now. UM....??? i can't understand how i am expected to bend that far backwards?

Worst Customer Service Ever!

I have been to one slumber party by Lacie Jae and then hosted my own. Here are the horrors I had to face at this woman's hands. Party 1: I was a guest, there were only three of us there and it was a fun party. I ordered a few items and was told 6-10 business days. Well a month rolls by, and no product. I ask the girls from the party (we all ordered something) if they had gotten their things yet, wondering if I had given her my address wrong or something. Nope none of us. All of us are getting pissed and saying if it isn't here by Monday, I'm demanding a refund. Lucky for her I got my stuff Monday morning. Despite that issue, I loved the product and wanted to throw my own party. Party 2: another small group of women, but this time I spent a large chunk of money with miss Lacie Jae, and I warned my friends "she will say 6-10 business days, but don't believe it." we found it funny. .....then our product was 2 months late. I called her every few weeks getting angier and angrier, always an "I'm sorry, it will be there by the end of the week" kinda thing. I had wanted these things for my husbands birthday (well over 2 months after my party) and yet, I didn't because of the service I was given. I emailed customer service, threatening to sue if I didn't get either my product or my money back and demandning some sort of punishment for that woman's treatment of us. Lacie called, all apologetic and yet nothing changed. When we finally got the product, we were all given 50 dollar gift cards to use through Lacie and all ordered them around midJune 2013. It is October 8th and guess what? Still no product and no real explanation as to why! She has blamed her new gated community and the UPS man having issues with her, it was a miscommunication with her new assistant. Everything that wasn't on her. Of course. I emailed customer service again, and they remembered me. Telling me they would talk to her and get back to me in about 2 days. That was about 2 weeks ago. Guess it just shows the head dogs are just as bad eh? I'm going through Pure Romance next time.

This is my complaint and I want to add one thing after reading some other complaints and their comments:

I don't work for either SP or Pure Romance, I don't want to help or hinder either business. I just want to find a company that will show me a good time, allow me to buy my items and deliver them promptly without issue.

I like slumber party, they have good product. I simply had a problem with Lacie Jae, that is all.

I am a former PR consultant and currently own my own romance business. On rare occasions I had issues with items being on backorder from the company.

I invested thousands of $ so I could have products on hand to deliver the night of the party.

Many good consultants do this, so when booking a party ask the consultant if they have stock on hand for immediate delivery. She may not have every single thing they offer but it's nice to take something home the night of the party so you can try it out right away!

No Show

I booked a slumber party event with Bryana Mead-Victor. The event was confirmed, and she joined my facebook page and was able to see the event scheduled. The time arrived, the people arrived and Bryana was a no show and a no call representative. I called and sent messages to make sure she was ok but she never responded. I was genuinely worried that something had happened to her until I saw her fb post that she was was out and about. I and the patrons were very diappointed in her lack of professionalism. I didn't know companies did businee that way in 2013

I'm so sorry you had a consultant that didn't show up for you! The number to the Slumber Parties home office is 800-240-****.

Definitely call them and let them know (I'm a consultant, BTW) - Slumber Parties always says you NEVER cancel or not show up for a hostess.

They take complaints like that very seriously! I'd give them a call so this can be addressed!

Unkept Word

I attended a Vegas Stiletto party at Centerstage Dance in Centennial, Colorado. There was a Slumber Parties rep who donated a $25 gift card to be given away as a gift. I was the lucky one who won it, the rep gave me the gift card. She tried to talk me into a party at my house. Due to major renovations in my house, I declined. I ordered a personal item that would be applied to my giftcard. Since the ordering, she has not kept her word. I have not received the product, nor has she answered my phone calls or texts. I see this as bad representation of Slumber Parties on behalf of Karly Stein. Due to this unethical representative, I will probably never order from Slumber Parties again. Thank you Karly Stein for your horrible sales and good luck doing business!!

No Refunds Policy!!!

I had purchased a toy from a Slumber Party party I'd gone to and it worked great for years, but recently it broke and I figured I ought to upgrade, so I purchased a new (more expensive one). When I got it however, it was nothing like what I thought it would be and it was fault (overheats and burns your um...stuff. You have to purchased a special battery for it also, which was not specified, and it was just a *** product. So I asked to exchange it for the original one I'd had before. They said sure. But when I get my new one...it's the same version as the faulty one. I didn't even open it and contacted them again saying look, you can keep the difference you'd owe me by giving me my old, cheaper toy, but they said no. No refunds, no exchanges. What kind of business model is that? They are clearly not here for their customers, just for their money. I will NOT make this mistake again.

All in-home party plans of this nature have an "all sales final" business model. However, there is a 30 day warranty against manufacturer defects and companies should replace a product during this period if the failure is the fault of the manufacturer, and it sounds like your situation falls into this category.

If the company won't refund your money, you can send a letter to the manufacturer, along with a copy of your receipt, and see if they will replace or refund it. Additionally, you stated that you had had your previous toy for years. This leads me to believe that the original toy may have been removed from the product line so the company would no longer have it to send you. In this case, you could search for it on the internet through other companies.

Most products of this type are made by California Novelties and are sold under several names so it might be possible to call them and find out where you could get it. I hope this helps!

I am trying to figure out a few things on your post. #1 is who did you buy this from? The corporate office as in you called the 1-800 number and actually spoke with an official person at the official office? Because if not, you should not post "Slumber Parties" is whatever....! Because there are tens of thousands of consultants, and each person operates her business independently. So if you are speaking about a consultant, please say her name and not indicate that the company as a whole did something to you.

Next, what product did you initially buy that quit working? Did you ask whoever you spoke with if you could get this EXACT product?

I have not heard of any of our toys "burning anything" because if they did, it would be all over the news. The #1 reason a toy fails, is a faulty battery. And the only time a toy gets hot is because of battery acid.

I recommend Energizer batteries for our toys, as these seem to do the best.

So instead of trying to damage a 20-year old company with a stellar reputation, please be mindful of who you are trying to trash on a public forum.

Many of us make our livings thanks to Slumber Parties, and we do it with respectful reputations.

And please update your post and let us know if you did call a specific rep, and what exactly her words are. We take these accusations very seriously.

I have been buying products from Slumber Parties for years and have been happy. Recently I ordered a toy and even though I opened it and made sure it worked I did not use it right away.

I too had the same issue, the battery became very hot to the point that I had to take the batteries out the first time. After realizing that it had already been past the 30 days I tried to work around it but didn't work out.

The battery fried the toy.

Ashley Parkinson is a scam artist!

I recently hosted a Slumber Party with consultant Ashely Parkinson based out of Enid, Oklahoma. She came across very sweet in the beginning, referring to me as "Hun" each time we spoke. The night of my party she came in and I helped her unload. She didn't bring any of the products as she had promised. She lied to me about party totals and discounts and hostess freebies. She failed to provide receipts to any of my guests. I called the Slumber Parties corporate office, which was a great help! Between customer service and her regional, I was assisted in getting what was owed to me. Long story short- BEWARE OF ASHLEY PARKINSON! SHE'LL RIP YOU OFF WITH A CUTE LITTLE SMILE ON HER FACE!!! Oh, and she would never admit she was in the wrong.

Party host stole all our money

I went to a Slumber Party in Hagerstown, Maryland in April 2012. The host, Ashley Richardson, took orders from 10+ girls, cashed our checks, and never sent us our products.

She deleted her facebook or blocked us and ignored our phone calls and texts. She finally texted me about three months later and said she would give me my products. She never did. We arranged at least 3 meetings and she either never showed or canceled at the very last minute until she just ignored my messages.

She got hired by another company and "retired" she told me before she quit communicating, but still promised to get me my order. She never did and walked out of the party with over $1000. Needless to say NEVER buy from someone you don't know will definitely give you what you paid for.

Oh and slumber parties doesn't do a thing to help you since their employees are self-employed and they state that the company isn't responsible for products you do not receive. What a joke.

The same thing happened to me at a party that I attended. I paid cash for what I ordered and I never received it. I called the lady and she wouldn't answer her phone then when she finally did answer she said she would send it to my cousin house and I never got my product.

Slumber party

I had a party in October 2012, hosted by a cassidy lower, and am not very happy, a friend still has not recived her order, another person was given the wrong merchandise and I never recived my change from the host. I am very upset have sent her several emails, send texts, even went through facebook, now these people want me to remburse them due to the fact it was my party and I dont blame them. I also have asked her twice on how to become a consultant and everytime get told later. she is also late to her parties. not a very happy person.....

Thank god someone is finally exposing her for what she is. I was ripped off too!

No phone calls, my guests were pissed by how long it took them to get their items. Warranty toys coming in plastic bubble wrap. Something seems dirty and shady. Called Slumber Parties and I get the sorry but we cannot help.

She owns her own business run around. I WILL NEVER host with them again! Heard about Pure Romance, checked out their site and WOW.

Now I am hosting again with them. Go with classy, not trashy :( Cassidy!

She claims to be more than she is.

She says she has all product with her the night of the party but when that doesn't happen, it takes weeks (or longer) to get the stuff and thats after complaining to her, if you can get in contact with her. Dont trust her!

I could come on here and complain about anyone! How do you just let people post complaints without 1. having proof and 2. without contacting the person who the complaint is actually about? Anyone could post about someone they don't care for to try and ruin their reputation or take their business. There is a complaint on here about me from a bogus person. I deliver at the party so customers not receiving products is not an option, I am far from *** and all of my items are brand new and there are no stray hairs. lol! My recommendation would be to not *** people off. I know it is easier said than done and it sounds a little blunt but the fact of the matter is, people can say whatever they want and if you cant prove them wrong, there is nothing anyone can do.

The best way to avoid this is to make sure your customers are happy. I recently had a bad experience with one of your reps (Glenisha) but I am not going to slander her because her disgusting attitude will kill her business so I don't have to. Plus, Karma is a b-.

The bottom line is, if you make sure your clients are happy, they have no reason to smear your name.

Christina Weisbrod from Slumber Parties is a thief!

I had a party in Maryland with a Slumber Parties Consultant named Christina Weisbrod. The party was incredibly boring and she just seemed *** The products weren't very nice looking and some of her demos actually had stray hair on them!

She took my money and my guests' money and never delivered her products. She stole! She claimed she sent the products but no one has received them. Now she won't answer our calls or e-mails.

After calling corporate, they were unwilling to help and allow her to still be in business.

Ridiculous! Dont use Slumber Parties!

I can speak on someone else experience but I can speak on mine. I've attended a Slumber Party event where Christina was the consultant and she did an excellent presentation!

She was great and very informative! It's a shame that someone would go out there way to defame Christina's character.

I have been in business with Slumber Parties for seven years and have an excellent reputation. My guess is that someone from our jealous competitor posted this and I have a feeling who!

If this post doesn't come down I will be suing! I haven't received any calls regarding missing product and Slumber Parties always makes sure consultant's take care of these kinds of issues or they will put you on hold.

Slumber Party Tanya Parker (Jackson,MS) Don't book ever!!

Don't book with this lady. She takes your money and gets mad with you when you ask her for it. I had a party on May 19,2012. Lots of people ordered. We had to pay all cash. I paid her $112 for $93 worth of product. Only one of the items came in on time. Plus, 5 other people order did not come in and she forgot to order one persons all together. I called and called her even met up with her and she had the product for two of the orders but did not have the money becuase by now a month later I asked for a refund. She said 'the company did not want her to pay out of her own money and that they were gonna overnight her a check and to meet with her tomorrow (Saturday). Saturday came and she was hard to catch up with. Never book a party with her if you do order directly online. She was a good host, but very unprofessional when handling peoples money. If you want to get screwed go ahead and use her. I finally got my money on Monday after having to get very ugly with her. But if that what it took, sometimes you got to do what you got to do.!

I can assure you that most people like this do not stay in business long as did this particular person. Please don't judge all of Slumber Parties consultants on this.

I have been with Slumber Parties over 15 years now and I assure you, I did not get where I am, by taking people's money or being dis-honest to them. So look up consultants who have been with the company and if in doubt, call the corporate office.

They will give you accurate information. Thanks

Rachel from Slumber Parties screwed me and 8 other women

On November 12, 2011 I attended a Slumber Party hosted by Rachel (last name unknown) who supposedly lives in Temecula, Ca. I am so pissed. I was finally able to find the company website and wrote to them. Hopefully they do something about it: Hello, I am finally writing to the company because I am very concerned. On November 12, 2011, I was invited to a mutual friend's slumber party. The Slumber Party Rep. that hosted our party was named Rachel, her phone number WAS 951-719-****, and she told us she lived in Temecula, Ca. I say her number WAS because when I called her on December 12, 2011 and left a message, her number was still in service. When I called the number again today, the number has been disconnected. I purchased 3 items from Rachel: anal lube, flavored lube, and spray scented powder. My total was $49.97 for everything, tax, shipping. I gave Rachel $40 CASH and gave her my debit card information so she could run the remaining amount, $9.97 on my card. She wrote my account number down on the order form and her exact words were "I will run all of the cards when I get home. I will mail a copy of what I charge your card with the items." She also gave me and the other girls a estimated time of when we should receive our items, but I don't remember the exact time. It was like 3 weeks or so. I was fine with this and didn't think anything of it. Rachel did not give any of us girls a receipt which I thought was very odd but trusted her. A few weeks passed by and Rachel had still not charged me for the remaining amount. So I waited a litle longer. As of December 12, 2011 it was 30 days since we had our party and I figured something was wrong. I called Rachel and left a very professional message letting her know what my name was, whose party I was at, the date of the party, what I bought, and reminded her that I gave her 40 dollars cash. I never heard from Rachel. As of today, I am going to be honest with you, I am 100% pissed off. The girl, (name withheld), who threw the party, has attempted to call Rachel and get into contact with her as well. She hasn't gotten anywhere either. Rachel has terrible customer service and is giving your company a very bad name. There were about 10 girls who went to this party and all of them bought items from Rachel. I honestly don't know what to do. At this point, I feel that I was completely screwed by Rachel of my $40 dollars that I paid to her. I am at a lost for words. If I do not hear from somebody in a reasonable amount of time, I will be filing a report against this company. I definitely appreciate somebody responding back to me.

Hello, I just received an email letting me know somebody commented on my post. Sadly, I haven't received my products, no money back and nothing from the company who these woman go through. The last I was told from a customer service rep., Rachel fleed the state and they weren't able to track her.

All I can say to people like this is KARMA IS A ***. I forgive her for being a piece of *** but I can't promise her Karma won't get her or hasn't already gotten her (this incident did occur 9 months ago so God only knows where she is now).
